RevWatch ("we", "us") operates rev-watch.com. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it when you use our website, free scan, and Pro monitoring service.

Data we collect

• Account data: email, name, password (stored hashed), and store domains you add.
• Scan data: public storefront URLs, scan scores, and findings derived from publicly accessible pages and Shopify endpoints.
• Shopify connect (optional): shop identifier and access token if you connect your store for deeper monitoring.
• Billing: payment handled by Stripe; we store Stripe customer/subscription IDs, not full card numbers.
• Usage: standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.

How we use data

• Provide store scans, alerts, and dashboard monitoring
• Process subscriptions and send account-related email when needed
• Improve product reliability and prevent abuse

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with processors needed to run the service (hosting, Stripe, email delivery) under appropriate agreements.

Retention

Account and scan history are kept while your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting info@rev-watch.com.

Security

Passwords are bcrypt-hashed. Sessions use HTTP-only cookies. Shopify access tokens are encrypted at rest when ENCRYPTION_KEY is configured in production.

Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use RevWatch (page views, signups, scans, and subscriptions). In regions where consent is required (EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland, Brazil), we ask before enabling analytics cookies. You can accept or reject via the banner on first visit; your choice is stored in your browser. Elsewhere, analytics runs by default and you may use browser settings to opt out.
